So after that epic night out in Acton and then all round London, I deserved a sleep in. So I did. Until like 11am, which is pretty late for me!! I literally got up, had breakfast, had a shower, had lunch and then had to head into town to meet Jen cos we were going to Buckingham Palace!!
I'm sorry, I was a teeeensy bit excited.
Anyway, I met Jen by Vicky's fountain and we headed in. We had some guy spurting all the rules to us and we half listened/half looked at him thinking how much his job must suck, repeating that same stuff all day! We had to go through "airport style security" as they called it. So our bags had to go through a scanner and we had to walk through a body scanner. Luckily, neither of us had anything the least bit suspicious about us, as we are super duper lovely, so we got straight through and got our headsets.
We wandered through, it took us about 2 hours. The exhibition was about the Queen's Coronation, and it had her gown (as well as the gowns of her maid og honour and her mum and sister) and her robes!! Everything was super sparkley, and awesome to see. They even had the clothes that Charles and Anne wore...so tiny! So cute. It was a pretty spectacular experience. They even showed you a secret door that the Queen comes into her offical functions in one of the many Drawing Rooms.
AHhhhh, I wanna go back! But for now, pictures shall suffice -

Happy Charlette |
Sunday, was an epic day. Ant and Emma were having a whole bunch of friends over for a lunch (at 2pm) so they spent the morning cooking up a storm! I played many many many games of Uno with Jake in a bid to keep him enteratined haha. Eventually though, people arrived and I decided that I should leave them to it (well, I had already decided this, but I decided at a specific time that I should leave).
The Tour of Britian was on and they were racing down in Westminster, so I headed down there. I managed to get me a spot riiight next to the big screen and could watch all the cyclists pass, it was all very exciting.
When I got there, the Jersey Boys were performing, they were fun -
All the teams came up on stage and were announced so I knew who they were *in the know* |
