Finally catching up!

So, after my night in Bangor and my epic train journey, I ended up in Abersywyth with Tom for a week.

We really didn't do too much at all. Got through 2.3 Lord of The Rings movies, I managed to watch all of Downton Abbey season 2. Tom had work down at a local bar most nights which meant I was left at home so I managed to achieve a bit while I was there - namely Downton haha. I made great friends with his flatmates (5 other guys). One of them invited me out with them one night so went out on the town in Aber, which was interesting. Nothing on Wellington haha.

But yeah, didn't really do much else. I baked some cookies, which were very well recieved. I got the guys some baking gear for their kitchen (all Pink, thanks Poundland!), made pancakes for the guys one morning as a thank you, did loads of washing etc.

On the last night I was there Tom wasn't working, which was nice, so we actucally went out around Aber and looked at the sights. We climbed this mammoth hill which was tiring, but the view was cool (my legs are now paying the price though!) and we went and poked around the abanonded castle. I didn't even realise there was a whole other part of Aber until we were at the castle, so I could have done some more exploring, but that just never happened.

Anyway, I have a few photos, but not too many cos we didn't really do much worth taking photos of lol.

Enjoy!

Lucky I know this website off by heart

lol cos as I type on Ness's computer, she has it set to Danish haha so I'm just navigating my way round, hoping I get it right!

Anyway! Update time!

After I stayed with Tom's mum, I caught a train up to Bangor in North Wales to go and stay with Ellie, a friend from camp. She had another friend up from home which was cool so once I arrived and had a lovely cup of tea, we went on an explore! We went out to the longest place name....ever? In Wales? In the Northen Hemisphere? Not sure, but it was damn long! I got a sweet as Welsh hat there, which I shall rock when I get home, next winter haha. There was a sign post there which pointed to different places around the world, and only the signs to Wellington and Auckland had an acronym after them which eluded to the country haha.

LOL
My awesome Wellington Hoodie, next to the Wellington Sign

There it is again, lol
Oh yes, I forgot to mention. This is in Anglesey. Yes. Sound familar? It should. Its where Will and Kate live!! I was so gutted I was there when they were doing their bloody Jubilee tour over in Singapore etc. Anyway, we passed a supermarket Kate shops at, so I felt kinda cool haha. Anglesey is an island across an awesome bridge from Bangor. Nice place. Ellie then took us for Fish and Chips, but the weather was a bit shoddy so we ate them inside. We then went out to Beaumaris where I went to my first castle! And an awesome castle it was too. We did some fun exploring and all called bedrooms and tried to figure out how much string we would need to be able to make those can phone things so we could talk to each other. Quite a cool castle too, it was still all together so we were able to find random little staircases that lead to no where.

We found some random signs though, so interpretations are greatfully appreciated.
To quote one Russell Potts: "Meaning: 1 - Gravitational anomaly, some people will appear smaller than others. 2- With said anomaly you can walk while leaning over. 3 - Just jump down the stairs, it's faster. 4 - Due to anomaly birds can't fly very high, watch out for them."
and again, Russ the Wise says "Brain hurting from trying to interpret sign."

After we'd finished doing all the touristy stuff, we headed back to Ellie's flat where we hung out with her super cool flatties and had dinner etc. We went out for a drink that night but everyone was super tired by like 10pm, which suited me so we got back at like midnight and I managed to skype Mum and Dad which is always nice!

The next day was a lazy start, but we eventually headed down to the pier and did a little bit of crabbing. Its something that takes a lot of patience to catch the big ones, but the wind so so blustery that we only ended up with some small ones in our pot. We had to throw them back, but it was still fun catching them!

Bye bye crabs :(
After crabbing, we headed into town to the Applefest. We were kinda expecintg cider, hog roast, apple pie etc. Nothing. We saw 1 apple. It was lame, but quite funny. We found some pet snakes though so petted those before heading back to the flat and me on my mission to get to Aberyswyth or however its spelt. I had to catch a train from Bangor to Chester (back in England), Chester to Shrewsbury, Shrewsbury to Aber (back in Wales). Took about 4 hours, but boy was I glad to get there and see Tom's face at the station, once he eventually arrived. lol.

Thats enough typing for me tonight, I then spent a week with Tom in Aber, but we didn't do too much, so I'll update on that later! Cheerio for now!

A little more....

So, after I left Salena on the 11th, I bussed up to Chester (which is in Cheshire, which is where Harry Styles is from. Little geek out....) and met Tom and his mum and his mate. We went out for dinner and then back to his house in Flint.

*HINT* How to know you're in Wales - The signs are bilingual.

Thats literally the only way I knew we had left England and were in Wales haha. But anyways. The next day we went back into England and went to Liverpool! There are a lot of people from camp who live there, and so we wanted to catch up with a few of them. Tom had a couple of random friends who joined in on the wet, misty, fun haha. We met up with Alex for lunch at Nandos and then went for a wander down to the water to have a go in this yellow duck thing that drives around Liverpool and then goes in the water. Creepy. Apparently they are old army trucks or something. Personally, I just thought I was on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Behind - Alex and James and then Me and Tom. Also, LOL

Beautiful Liverpool

Hey look, its the yellow submarine! Its a hotel lol

The creepy yellow duck boat bus thing

After our adventures on the odd duck thing, we headed up the hill to the giant cathedral. We weren't allowed in that day though cos the documents from Hillsborough (which I now know all about) were being released to the families. So we had some pictures outside and then wandered down and found a church that had been bombed out, so I took more pretty pictures haha.

Nawww

Its kinda pretty
After that, we met up with Gabby and went for dinner which was an interesting experience haha. Then we went around some street that has the club on it where the Beatles started, so we went in there and hung out for a bit and they had a guy who looked like John Lennon playing and singing but it was unnaturally loud so we gapped it haha. Still, it was cool to go there.

The boys went home after a bit and I stayed with Gabby the night in her uni hostel which was cool. The next day, we went back to the cathedral and it is just as amazing inside, the pictures just don't do it justice, but I'll try!

Gabby then took me back to her place cos she had taken some of my stuff home from America so I had to go pick it all up! Then we went to an amazing pie shop, and I got a Steinlarger, ZOMG been too long haha.

I had to train back to Flint to stay at Tom's with his mum so that I could get my stuff, Tom had taken my suitcase down to Aber which was cool cos it meant I didn't have to travel with it, yay!!

Anyway, I have some serious Downton Abbey to watch, I'll do another update later....we are slowly catching up haha

The rest of it...well, some more anyway

Hey ho people,

So I have a bit more time now while Tom's out at work, so I thought I'd do a bit more of an update. Been applying for jobs and other such fun things so bleygh.

After Birmingham, Sunday was a little bit of a write off. I slept in a bit, and then went wandering around the mall and got my flat white (OMG I found a flat white at Muffin Break, it was amazing). Sunday night though was fun, Salena and I watched the closing ceremony of the Paralympics which was pretty much one giant Coldplay concert so we watched that with some Gin and had a good time haha.

Monday, we headed down to Cambridge. I wanted to go see the uni, but also Hello Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! We got there and went on a canal ride around some of the oldest halls which was absolutely stunning. Its such a pretty place and some of the buildings are just gorgeous. See pictures -

We didn't really do a lot more in Cambridge really, there wasn't a lot to do except wander the streets and marvel at the gorgerousness of it. Which we did!! There are some super cute little shops - especially gift shops! Dangerous haha. I may have got a little book about brides cos I love Weddings THAT much haha. So yeah, I have to go now, I have a lot more to do including working out how the hell I'm going to get to London on Sunday so I can fly to Denmark to go and see Ness!! Soooo excited. I have a lot more to catch up on, and photos to upload and other such matters, but I shall leave you with more pretty photos of Cambridge.
