Woah!!!! Scary thought! I have to get travel insurance tomorrow, gonna go through Southern Cross cos they are the only place that will cover my back which sucks, but I would much rather have my back covered - especially going to the States! I have to get the work insurance which means its a whole lot of extra money, but I want to pay to be covered!
Looks like I'm going to get to meet a whole lot of friends too! I met Emma and Amber a few years ago on THUS and they live in Arizona. Sounds like they are going to be able to come up to meet me in LA and hang out! Possibly even go down San Diego Zoo which is going to be fricken amazing! I met Sarah on LJ a few years back too, and shes moving 2 hours away from NYC so hope to catch up with her there! Same, with Katie - who is my awesome LOTR freak buddy which is hilarious! Especially when I went to a screening of my mates movie last night and Sir Ian McKellen, Martian Freeman and Luke Evans were there and she freaks out about that haha. But yay, friends!
Also, one of my mates from NZ is heading over to Harvard, we are both Musical Theatre freaks so its gonna be fricken amazing to meet up in NYC and go to a Broadway show!! I'm also just glad I've found a bar in NYC that shows super Rugby lol, but I should also be able to stream the canes games if I get desperate!
I must admit, one thing I'm slightly worried about is seeing NZ in the Olympics! I know I'm really gonna wanna watch the hockey and rowing specifically (and probably Valerie) so I really do hope I get to!
Hoping to secure my flights sometime this week, that would help ease some problem in my mind, ahhh so many things to think about!!
Right, time to watch more One Direction videos *guilty pleasure*
I'm now in London for a year as an Au Pair! I'll try to post here at least once a week, sometimes maybe more!

Visa - successful
Well, I think it was. I was super nervous, I got into town about 8.30, and wasn't due at the consulate until 9.30. I had a coffee to attempt to calm myself - not like that worked. I got to the consulate about 8.55, and there were huge lines! I had to go through some serious security, and thennn I had to line up for like 30 minutes - my ankle hurt :(. Annnd then, I had to go up to a booth, like at the bank, and hand over my documents. The most confusing part was me trying to figure out which was my left and right hand. Then I had to wait for my "interview" which was pretty much just one guy telling me about a good pizza place in Connecticut, cos he used to live there. And he did some stuff on the computer, and then it was all done. Magic!! Apparently I'll get my passport back in a few days with the visa inside, yeah baby!! It was easy! I was out by 10am!! I felt so much better and then I went shopping. And went to Kelly Tarltons. YAY!! VISA!!
