I'm now in London for a year as an Au Pair! I'll try to post here at least once a week, sometimes maybe more!

Well, I guess this is part of my travel adventures. I'm hanging with my friend Vanessa, who is moving to Denmark soon. We are heading out soon to simulate my trip to the Embassy tomorrow, and then going to Sylvia Park, woo!! Heres hoping everything works out tomorrow and I haven't forgotten any paperwork! Ahh, so nervous

Here we go!
Well, I suppose I had better start this thing, so that its all good and set by the time I leave (which is under 3 months, woah!!). I also thought I could start writing things down here so I can clear my head about what I've worked out and what I still need to do.
Tonight, I booked my visa appointment at the consulate in Auckland. Apparently they retina scan you and finger print you, slightly scary, oh well. I'm really nervous that I've stuffed up my visa application along the way somewhere, and its a $182 application fee, so I'm really hoping I haven't! Appointment is on the 2nd of April, so its not too far away, hopefully I can get some really cheap flights!!
I have paid my deposit on my flights, so I leave at 5pm on the night of the 9th of June, 2 days after my birthday! So much to organise, but its so exciting! I have 3 days in LA on my way East, so I have to work out if I'm meeting people there or if I'm hanging out by myself, I have a few ideas of things I could do (San Diego Zoo, OMG PANDAS!) but yeah.
I still have to buy a tablet computer too, I don't know which one I want yet, but I'm thinking either the Sony or the Asus, which are pretty cool. I was gonna get a new phone before I left too, but it seems it would be a lot cheaper to get a phone over there and then get a phone for NZ when I get back. Who knows when that will be?!
Anyway, thats all for now I think.
